About Our Wax
At Marsh & Mantle, wax is not just a material—it’s a decision. We choose 100% pure beeswax because it aligns with our values of craftsmanship, sustainability, and respect for natural systems.
Why Beeswax
Beeswax is a natural, renewable substance produced by honeybees as part of a healthy hive. When burned, it produces a steady, clean flame with minimal smoke and no petroleum byproducts. Its warm light and long burn time make it especially well-suited for tapers and everyday use.
Unlike paraffin and soy waxes, beeswax requires very little industrial processing. Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct refined through energy-intensive chemical processes. Soy wax, while plant-based, typically undergoes heavy processing—including hydrogenation—and is often blended with additives to achieve consistent performance. Beeswax, by contrast, remains close to its natural state.

Supporting Beekeepers, Supporting the Cycle
We source our beeswax from trusted beekeepers and support practices that prioritize hive health and sustainability. Beeswax is harvested as part of the natural lifecycle of a hive, and responsible beekeeping ensures that bees retain what they need to thrive.
Marsh & Mantle contributes back into this cycle by supporting local beekeepers and initiatives that promote healthy pollinator populations. Strong hives support ecosystems, agriculture, and the future of bees themselves.

Thoughtful From Wax to Packaging
Our commitment doesn’t stop with the candle. All Marsh & Mantle packaging is designed to be eco-friendly and low-impact, using recyclable and biodegradable materials wherever possible. The goal is simple: a product that’s considered end-to-end.
A Natural Choice
Beeswax candles are not about trends or shortcuts. They are about choosing materials that burn cleanly, last longer, and reflect a quieter, more intentional way of making things.
That’s why we use beeswax—and why we always will.
